Northeast Security’s Fundraising Efforts for “The Polar Plunge” Triumph as Top Earning Corporate Team
The Polar Plunge, which originated in 1999, is the largest event of the year for Massachusetts’ Special Olympics and requires fundraising teams to “plunge” into icy Atlantic waters in the midst of winter. All proceeds from the event directly support athletes’ training throughout the year, for 24 sports teams, across their four seasons.
This year Northeast Security’s team raised over $3,000, which awarded them “The Golden Plunger Award,” as the top fundraising corporate team. This is the third year that Northeast Security has participated in the Polar Plunge, raising over $7,500, as organized all three years by Jeff Levenson.
